Double Glazing companies rated

Unfortunately double glazing companies in the UK have received a bad name in recent years because of the antics of rogue traders and cowboys in the industry.

With reports highlighting dubious selling tactics and faulty work carried out, it’s little wonder that only 7% of Which? members are trusting of glazing firms.

From a Which? satisfaction survey in 2012, customer scores are revealed for the nation’s biggest double glazing companies in comparison to local, independent businesses. Anglian, Everest, Safestyle and Staybrite were all scored on a number of factors including value for money and customer service.

In total, 2,562 members from Which? participated in the survey, answering questions on their experience with double glazing companies in the last five years.

The results can be found in the table below:

Local double glazing companies

It seems the independent double glazing companies are seeing more business than the nationals, who are known for charging a premium price for their product. One Which member is quoted as saying: “Local firms rely on word of mouth for their reputation and in a small town they cannot afford to let this slip.”
